A society hoodie order often passes through several hands: the committee chooses the design, members choose sizes and one organizer confirms the final order. A clear shared brief makes those decisions easier to manage. Exposure Apparel helps university societies, student clubs and adult cohorts prepare custom hoodie inquiries for international delivery.
Start with the group name, intended use and approximate quantity. Decide whether the garment is everyday society clothing, committee identification or a keepsake for a particular year.
Choose one main hoodie before collecting sizes
Compare the hoodie options by construction and measurements. An Essential Oversized Hoodie, Heavyweight Premium Hoodie 430gsm and Regular Fit Full-Zip Hoodie give different starting points. A heavier fabric is not automatically the right choice for every wearer or destination.
Agree the style and preferred color first, then obtain the exact chart. Ask members to compare a hoodie they already wear, including body length and chest width. If the committee changes the garment later, have members check their choice again rather than transferring the old size list unchanged.
Set the artwork and permission rules
Decide which elements belong on every hoodie: society name, year, shared graphic or committee wording. Confirm that you have permission to use institution marks, sponsor logos and other artwork. A custom order is not automatically official university merchandise or an endorsed product.
Send the original files and describe the intended print positions. Front zips, pockets and the hood can affect the available space. If your group wants names or nicknames, include that requirement so feasibility and layout can be checked for the selected style.
Treat names as final order data
Collect each member's confirmed spelling in one list. Keep names linked to the correct garment, color and size. Distinguish a name that appears in a shared back design from text unique to one person's hoodie; these are different artwork requirements.
Give members a clear deadline to review their own entries. For a shared list of names, appoint someone to check both the complete roster and the way it appears in the design. The group-order guide explains how to keep a reliable final version.
Use one committee sign-off
Nominate the person who will gather comments and return the final approval. Check the design against the agreed garment and current roster, including the year, spelling, print positions and any individual variations. Do not let separate committee members approve different versions in parallel.
A digital proof checks the proposed artwork layout. If the committee needs to inspect the actual fit or fabric, ask about the available sample route early. See samples and proofs for the distinction and the order of decisions.
Keep a useful handover record
Save the garment reference, approved artwork, size totals and delivery arrangement where the next committee can find them. Record which details should change for a later year and which should remain consistent. Future availability and pricing still need checking, but a complete specification makes a repeat inquiry more precise.
If the group is considering a lighter alternative, compare custom T-shirts instead of creating a second hoodie specification by default.
Society hoodie questions
Can we use this process for leavers clothing?
The roster and approval steps are useful for cohort orders. Tell us the wearer age range and required garment sizes so suitability can be checked; adult hoodie options do not establish a children's range.
What should the organizer send?
Send the country, delivery region, quantity, preferred hoodie, artwork, personalisation requirements and required date. Include any committee approval or sample step that must happen first.
